Sounds like there wasn't enough enforcement to stop what was happening. I'd ask again, how does that happen in one of the, supposedly, most secure buildings in the United States?

I watched the full video in question by that guy a few days ago. Tough to have seen it and come away with the impression that he was just there to document what was going on. The most generous interpretation would be to say he was at least encouraging others’ lawlessness.

If it were ‘serious people’ , the Capitol would now be under strict military control, and the Democrats locked up. The fact that they are not suggests that no serious people were involved....
Because it failed they were not serious. Stupid logic.

Many brought weapons. Many had military backgrounds. Many were cops. The rest were guided there by the President.

The FBI have compiled a lot of data and from what's leaked it seems they see patterns. I'm sure the very many hours of footage with decrepancies will help them see what most seem to see.

Not all attempts on overthrowing government are well executed despite being planned.

The lack of security and the fact the building was so easily entered suggests too many there was coordination of sorts.

ORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A retired Air Force officer who was part of the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol last week carried plastic zip-tie handcuffs because he intended “to take hostages,” a prosecutor said in a Texas court on Thursday. “He means to take hostages. He means to kidnap, restrain, perhaps try, perhaps execute members of the U.S. government,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Weimer said of retired Lt. Col. Larry Rendall Brock Jr. without providing specifics.
...
Weimer read a termination letter from Brock’s former employer that said he had talked in the workplace about killing people of a “particular religion and or race.” Weimer also read social media posts in which Brock referred to a coming civil war and the election being stolen from President Donald Trump.

I'm leaning much toward more of a planned insurrection by "serious people" than not. I don't find it implausible that some high level people fomented this to some degree, nor do I find it implausible that some politicians were actively involved and encouraging it. This was more of a beer hall putsch than a hillbilly family reunion that got drunkenly out of hand. Make no mistake I would love to be wrong about this.
