I’m not someone who is usually bent towards conspiracy, but I’m also interested to see what the FBI turns up. This will far and away be the most in depth investigation they’ve undertaken since 9/11, and thanks to the stupidity of many involved, they’re going to be working with an absolute mountain of first hand evidence.
By all accounts, the Capitol has been closed to the public since COVID began, so if Republican representatives were actually touring people around the building, they have some questions to answer. Particularly if cell phone data shows people who made their way to certain more secure parts of the Capitol were inside in the days leading up to 1/6.
Also, Trump and Giuliani’s insistence on trying to reach Tommy Tuberville during the coup is odd. He had been a senator for less than a week at that point, so logic would dictate that he wouldn’t normally have been at the top of their contact list.
