Texas florist Jenny Cudd, who took part in the Capitol riot Jan. 6, asked for permission to travel to Mexico for a work retreat this month.

I hope Becky's Flowers goes under. And I hope she is charged to the full extent of the law.
 
Let me do a quick little mental exercise:

To me patriotism is honoring democracy and enfranchising our citizens no matter who is elected, and being steadfastly against any anti-American, anti-Democratic domestic insurrection that threatens our nation's basic values. Something like that.

To the average Republican patriotism is supporting or believing that Anderson Cooper and select politicians eat babies and therefore armed citizens should be allowed to storm the Capitol Building, kill a police officer, and threaten to kill high-ranking members of the government.

It's a pretty blurry line with lots of overlap between these two views so I can understand why Trump-supporting GOT members are not speaking up on this thread.

I'm not so certain the "average Republican" thinks this way but a damn large number of them do. The truly pathetic thing is that the average Republican who remains in the party refuses to call out these people and therefore the feckless GOP-elected class won't do so either. While I may disagree on many policy matters with folks like RVAT and LP they have my respect for speaking truth to power.

Strikes me as odd these folks you describe hate government, don't trust the Department of Justice or the FBI and loathe so many other Americans yet demand fealty to a piece of cloth meant to represent them. Colin Kaepernick knelt in peaceful protest - cancel his ass. These maroons literally took down the flag at the Capitol, replaced it with Derp Leader flags and then beat cops with the flagpoles.

Mainstream, normal conservatives reaction to the latter? Nothing to see here. Let's unify. On our terms, of course.

Fair enough, but these numbers below are crazy; 30% of Republicans have a favorable view of QAnon. And how does one answer "I don't know" to this question...were these people living in a cave? The silence of top Republican leadership on QAnon and the insurrection is abhorrent.

And 87% of Republicans disapprove of the decision to impeach Trump for incitement of an insurrection.

I guess the hunger, along with the threat of going to jail for a while made him see the light. Maybe we need to starve more of Trump's supporters lol
