It was a really clever free kick. Kicked it just the right height to completely blind the keeper and curled it on target. Nothing special. Just a good placement. Wouldn't mind him having a few more of those here and there

He's 39 mate, we're 3 up. We know he's playing Saturday barring injury so surely it's a decent time to give him a breather.

Young must be the fittest player in the squad in all seriousness, he was still getting forward at 85 mins. Mental when you actually consider it.

If someone had told me 15 years ago that we’d have a 39 year old at right back and he wasn’t a car crash every week I wouldn’t have believed you for a second.

He should have been subbed purely to give him the standing ovation he'd have got. I sense that he's aware there's a less cultured section of our fanbase who haven't always appreciated him, so the whole of the ground standing applauding would have gone some way to showing him how well thought of he is this season.

Thought he was fantastic tonight, excellent display. Solid in defence, used the ball well and what a free kick.

All our best attacks went down the right it just highlights how poor Myko is on the other side, hiding again, can barely remember him touching the ball or getting involved.

If the season ended today he'd be player of the season for us. Now that's obvious and indictment on the rest of the team, but still, credit where it's due, he's a top pro.

Spot on. He might be used as an indication of how badly we’ve been run, but Dixon and Patto would do well to watch the little things he’s learned in his 27,500 games.

Full backs always show attackers down the touchline these days. Young would get rinsed by Cuhna and Ait-Nouri. When they had the ball at their feet, he just took a step back, cut the line off, and told them if they wanted to cut inside into Mangala/Gana go for it.

Be great if you could make a young full backs or centre backs play 10 top level games with the pace of a 40 year old. Then give them their pace back.

Sadly, Coleman’s extension is mostly sentimental. Young’s, given the state of our squad, has been very very sensible.

Hats off to him, he’s been quality this year. Last year I thought he was poor for large spells and it was easy to pin it on his age, but it was clearly just poor form. Very glad in hindsight we tied him down for another year.
