Never for a minute thought he’d turn out to be a humble bloke clearly working his arse of for whichever team he’s playing for. Thought it would be a bit like Delph- “I’ve won everything, you are lucky to have me……when I can walk.”

Talks like an actual Everton player, rather than an ex-trophy winner doing us a favour. I’m mentally and silently apologising for my preconceptions.

Surely last season playing but all in all for free hasn't been a bad signing (still should not be a regular starter)

He should have been subbed purely to give him the standing ovation he'd have got. I sense that he's aware there's a less cultured section of our fanbase who haven't always appreciated him, so the whole of the ground standing applauding would have gone some way to showing him how well thought of he is this season.

I think he did that against man u for that reason and he got all 4 sides of the ground. By the looks of his face he hated it as we were 4-0 down

It was a really clever free kick. Kicked it just the right height to completely blind the keeper and curled it on target. Nothing special. Just a good placement. Wouldn't mind him having a few more of those here and there
