Looks so much more comfortable with Holgate and/or Funes Mori next to him, young guns who can do the running so he can just sit. When he's put with a slug like Jagielka they're lack of speed is horribly exposed.

Not a great fan of his, but thought he was outstanding yesterday. Read the game well, organised things and did the simple things well. He was swicthed on for the free kick from Silva, got in there first.

Looks more comfortable in a back three with the current personnel we have.

Should we sign a pacey defender who is decent with the ball, he'll be fine in a back two as well. We just can't leave him exposed. Mori does that too often IMO.

Totally agree with this.

As a 3 Mori and Holgate are fine, despite young Mason looking a player, think a back 2 would expose him at times, he did infact get caught out a few times in defensive areas yesterday.

Think he is performing really well considering his age and he had no pre season. Depending on our position Koeman may well rest him last few games.
