Going nowhere, me thinks.

I have just been tuned in to Citytalk online and heard with my very own ears Mr. Arteta saying that he is looking forward to a big season with Everton and is glad to injury free and to have had the operation.

So, fellow supporters. Let us stop the speculation and second guessing and continue to worry on just who we are signing to replace Mr. Carsley. And increase the squad.

:D

The club need to give this serious attention, i want Arteta and Johnson in fornt of the press every alternate week saying they want to stay at the club! Sort it out!

If not Kenwright out!

Greetings Mr. Coyney,

I agree Sir, rest assured my nails are bitten down to the limit, blood pressure is high and the hair is thinning with stress.

Let's not forget

  • Mr. Moyes has yet to sign his contract
  • We have not replaced Mr. Carsley
  • We have not signed anyone
  • Mr. Round has arrived amply qualified
  • Lesser teams seem to be able to attract decent players
  • The Sky 4 have strengthened.
Rest assured, I'm worried. But apart from that, I'm good.

hopefully that'll put this bollocks to rest, though honestly i'm not sure what atletico are on about, as far as i'm conscerned they should have been damn proud to even be linked with arteta, and 12 mil would have been a steal.

clearly the potential for CL football has gone to their heads a bit

Don't think Arteta could make their team. Not on his last season performances. They've also got one of the best young footballers in the world in Sergio Aguero. To be honest, they've got a lot to be proud of, but so have we.

That cracking interview on EvertonTV yesterday will probably be summarised on SSN and other media outlets today (usually takes about 24 hours).

I think its probably the best interview I've seen on EvertonTV. You really get a sense of the team and the characters.

His impersonation of Super Lee Carsley was hilarious.

His all round performances plus like in the interview his contribution to the team - probably deserves and "honourary captaincy" this season maybe in the cup ? Thats my opinion.

For those who've seen the interview - you have to admit its a great one - and despite all the worry on internet forums (those ones know whom they are) Mikel Arteta clearly isn't worrying. Looks more determined than anything.

Those who have'nt seen it and still complain or worry - my advice is go watch it. He's clearly not going anywhere unless Moyes says so (which is nowhere).
And we're looking to bring in 3-4 players pretty quickly now the Euros are finished..........

Despite his slight dip in form last season, he still played well.

I'm pretty sure Arteta could make most teams (Wenger was sniffing around earlier in the summer).

He's a class player - and form is temporary - class is permanent.

He played with injury, missed Tim Cahill later in the season and I think him and Pienaar alternating in the midfield really improved our overall game.

We do need to add and do need a class holding midfielder, but we do have the bare bones of a good side. We just need to put some muscle (with some class) in there now too.....

He'd walk into there team which is why there's been alot of interest from Spain.

Your not just judged on one season as a player. Arteta suffered from injuries and couldn't replicate his best form. All in all though over the past 2/3 years he's been an excellent player.

Yes they have Aguero but he's a striker whereas Arteta is a centre midfielder/right midfielder. Big difference in terms of positioning and they wouldn't be competing with each other.

Arteta will be with us next year. But he has said over and over he wants new faces to solidify this team just like the fans. So I think this years squad addition could be pivotal in his deceision going forward.

Can`t wait to see Arteta back to his best next season!!! We still need a few midfielders though. Why haven`t we signed Manny yet? I don`t think I can take it if we lose him again.....

Arteta is a class act and i think it would be a disaster if he left, he is one of the most gifted players in the premiership and to cap that he has got a great attitude, how much would it cost to replace him, that's what you have to consider!

I'm sure DM realises what an asset he is and would fight tooth and nail to keep him.

Talk of him having a crap season last is bollocks, he wasn't fit for most of it. He is consistently the most fouled player in the premiership teams dont go out to kick [Poor language removed] players do they?

I love Arteta dont get me wrong. On his day he's a fabulous player. BUT.....he was [Poor language removed] last year, injury or not. Plus not really the most fouled player, but one of the worst divers.

I do love him thou.

[Poor language removed] is harsh. Inconsistent would be a better way to describe his season. Alot of people have said it was a [Poor language removed] season because it's Arteta. There so used to high quality performances and he failed to deliever this season which was a big dissapointment.

I wouldn't call him a diver either. He plays for fouls yes but he's not a diver like Ronaldo or Drogba. He's clever is Mikky:P
