Some are having a pop at Carlo for defending his players but when confidence in a poor squad is on a knife edge then airing your dirty laundry never works. It's funny because when Arteta came in everyone praised him for sorting Arsenal out defensively in a way Emery couldn't. And they weren't totally wrong as he did have them defend marginally better especially against poor sides. He also killed anything resembling attacking play to do so, save for Aubameyang being really good.
But now Aubameyang isn't very good so they have no attacking play at all and teams are starting to poke holes in the backline because the tactics are Allardycian or Moyesian style dropping deep. They're undoubtedly worse than when Emery left.
