Fair play to him, im happy for him, no beef with Mikel, what a player, looks a good manager to. Still the best little Spaniard.

Yes it is good to see him doing well, i wanted him as our manager but am made up with Carlo so its all good. A really nice guy, hope they go onto bigger things.

Happy for him. Great player for us, one of the best midfielders of our club I’ve seen in my lifetime. Gave us some of the best years of his career (more that can be said about some so called boyhood Evertonians). Had no emotional attachment to the club and moved on to better things winning a trophy.

Been some blips along the way but also beaten Liverpool, City, Chelsea and Wolves. You can sense he´s got a real desire to prove himself over the coming years but unfortunately for him I doubt he´ll have the money to challenge all the way to the top.

He’s got a good mix of experience. Moyes’ ‘team ethos’ and Guardiola’s football. Arguably, it’s the Moyes influence of creating a team spirit/cohesion that has shone brightest so far.

One of my favourite players from that era, but his image has been somewhat tarnished for me how he conducted himself at Goodson as an arsenal player.
