Keane and Tarks are very good box defenders. We have picked up good away results with them two at centre back. I just don’t think we have any firepower to trouble their defence. It will be a constant onslaught on us.

I'd be happy with a draw here.

Arsenal are a couple of levels above us and probably a level above their nearest PL rivals at this moment.
Though i have also gone for a tight defeat, but said i would not be surprised if we actually got a draw. I am a little surprised to see we seem to be getting wrote off by basically nearly all the so called experts, just because it's Everton, despite our great away record. I seen the odd 3/4-0 prediction as though we are a nothing team. If we do lose i think it may be a 1-0/2-1 defeat. People seem to forget we have the 3rd best defence overall behind the top 2, and are top 4 for away form. We also have the 2nd best away defence and 2nd most away wins

I agree, but I think even to get a draw we need to have things go our way a lot.

Apart from City I'd back Everton to get behind the ball and make life very difficult/impossible for any PL outfit other than Arsenal. Someone like Saka can pick a team apart and they have strikers who dont need a second invitation to snap up a half chance like Eke.

I'd like to see us offer more than just a dented shield against Arsenal: they'll be expecting that and they'll break us down eventually.

If we're brave and play more open and through their lines we can surprise them and get something to then hang onto.

We need boldness to play that way from the off though. Gamble and go toe-to-toe and get in at HT with a lead to protect would be the game plan for me.

In may ways this a free hit. Do the unexpected and we could cause a shock. Dont do that and we'll go down to a routine/heavyish defeat anyway. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure if we're about to have the rug pulled under our feet in normal Everton style, but we can go there feeling confident and realisically hope to take at least a point.
No doubt we'll get taken to the cleaners

I can see this ending 1 nil to Arsenal again in an incredibly boring game

They are clearly a really good side. They are extremely difficult to play against. They do all the basics extremely well. They have a great keeper, excellent centre halves, and a brilliant centre mid in Rice. But they are incredibly boring to watch.

I think it's less because it's Everton and more because they're a very good side that beat most teams they play.

There's every chance we nick something though.
