Got a message this morning from my rabid Arsenal-supporting friend
"Pienaar to score the winner in the last minute and race off to reveal a Madiba shirt underneath is the only thing I want more than an Arsenal win- it would just be too appropriate and beautiful"

... Would love it to happen- one thing is for certain, Pienaar is going to be motivated beyond belief for this one!

Big match, obviously...Great chance to see where Everton stands against a side that typically dominates possession football in England

Curious to see what approach Martinez takes this season with better weapons at his disposal compared to what he had in the two losses to Wenger while at Wigan last season...Of course, Arsenal are well fortified by comparison, as well...Will Roberto apply high pressure early to create a turnover deep and get an early goal - then to sit deeper and play the counter?...Or will he attempt to soak up pressure from the start to wait for opportunities on the counter?

Personally, I think the better approach would be to pressure them high and force them into turnovers otherwise I imagine the Gunners will not be as wasteful as United in midfield

Obviously a much tougher team than United to beat at the moment, I'd be very happy with the draw if someone offered me it now. But we're playing so well that it'd be silly to write us off.

I think a tense 1-1 draw.

I can Deulofeu replacing Barkley for this one, goes to the right wing and Mirallas moving inside

'Ozil who looks a scene from the original Total Recall where he’s stumbled out of the protective building and into Mars’ atmosphere'...that killed me right there, I knew the lid reminded me of something just couldnt put my finger on it!

Cant wait for this game, the best part is I would have snapped your hand off for 3 points off these 2 away days. This makes us so much more dangerous to Arse because we can play without pressure. For the first time I can remember I am not worried going there. Its not that we might lose but more that even if we do you know Arse will walk off knowing they have been in a game. We will give ourselves every chance of winning on Sunday, after 20 years of writing these fixtures off how good does that feel!

My only worry right now is McCarthy and Barry. By the end of December both will have had to play every minute fittness allowing. Where as we have enough quality in wide areas to rotate you still get the feeling Gibsons injury might bite us in the arse. These 2 are key to everything we are doing because they allow the boss players to go and play but are a big reason we are keeping clean sheets. Just hope we can take them for granted!

The win on Weds has given us a 'free run' at this one.

As I'm sure we'd have looked at both fixtures & thought that 2 points would be a good return.

However, with 3 already in the bag, the pressure is right off us, the lads will be full of confidence & I expect their play to reflect that.

That said, Arsenal have been superb this season & are top of the table on merit. They're a class outfit with quality all over the pitch. If we leave with anything, I'll be delighted, but tbh just really looking forward to the game, as I think it'll be a cracking contest.

lol, you took the words right out of my mouth (literally).

Your point about Barry & McCarthy is spot on & Martinez actually touched on that this morning on TS. As he said he was looking to bring in a couple in Jan to cover the loss of Kone & Gibson

After this our next 7 games are:

Fulham (H)
Swansea (A)
Sunderland (H)
Southampton (H)
Stoke (A)
Norwich (H)
WBA (A)

We can easily rest one of them and put Osman in during those games

Why does he have a Leeds scarf round his neck?

I like Arsenal and hope they do win the league, would be happy for Wenger if they do, but it's always funny watching Piers Morgan have a meltdown on twitter whenever they lose. #IvanTheTerrible
