They're playing Napoli away in 3 days' time. Wenger may rest a few players. Stoke aren't a better team than Chelsea, but they still beat them. At the moment in this league any team have a chance against any other, as long as they play the right game.

...remember that last sentence when thinking about our so called easy games coming up.

Tough game....two best defences in the Premier League this season, two on-form midfields and both have exciting match winners. For me they are so tightly matched that it's going to be the preparation and the mind-set of the manager that tips this one way or the other, and at the moment I just don't see Roberto being out-thought, albeit Wenger is a true football man too.
One thing is 100% certain - we'll be going there to win and exercise any demons of past thrashings we've had against them. Roberto is working his way through the' hang-ups Moyes, Round and Neville instilled in us, and this one will be high on his list. he'll be telling them he did it with Wigan and that we are light years ahead of them.

With goal threats all across the pitch from the likes of Lukaku, Mirallas, Delofeu, Barkley, Pienaar and Oviedo Baby Mr Wenger will be quite concerned, especially if they don't score early. Another big point in our favour if they don't score early is the limit on the energy they will want to expend bearing in mind they have a massive away day in Napoli to get to grips with just a few days later.

It will be a tough, tough game and you can make a solid argument for either to win it......but I genuinely beleive we can go there, play our game and beat them. Gerard to hit the winner on the break late on.

Said to my Everton supporting mate in work today, i'm actually looking forward to games against the 'big' sides away from home for probably the first time ever. Nerves and excitement, instead of just the dread of knowing we'd walk away with a point at best.

And that, señor, is the difference between being an average side and a competitive one...It'll be a tough match for Everton...As a neutral, the edge is clearly for Arsenal but that does no translate to a guaranteed win...Gunners will have to be sharp to avoid being put to the sword at the Emirates, themselves

If it's an open encounter, could very well be a scoring fiesta...Everyone knows how Wenger will play it, for me the question is how Martinez will tackle the match from a tactical standpoint...I get the impression Roberto will look to capitalize on the counter since Arsenal are the pass masters

Either way, regardless of the result, you lot have quite a bit to look forward to going forward...Bear in mind your team is still a work in progress whereas Wenger's kids have been playing this way for several seasons...Just a reminder about keeping it in perspective

Superb post mate

Just can't help but feel a true difference in quality will be shown for the first time this season and Arsenal will walk out 2-0 winners

Both teams are good at that. The difference is we also have players who can go past someone to open things up.

Howard
Coleman Jags Distin Oviedo
Barry McCarthy
Mirallas Barkley Pienaar
Lukaku

Is what I'd go for and I think he'll go with that anyway. Midfield is Arsenal's strength, need another good Barry/McCarthy game to restrict room for Ramsey, Cazorla etc. There will be goals and one thing I can be certain about is that we won't shut up shop and park the bus like we did last year in one of the most negative displays I think you'll ever see. Would happily take a point- heart says win, head says 2-2.

We were good at The Emirates last year, so im not sure what game you watched.

Definitely, just think Arsenal are schooled in this way of playing/passing for several seasons now...There's always an inherent advantage to those who are simply more comfortable with that sort of play than those who have newly adjusted to it

A match to look forward to, no doubt, and certainly not one that is a foregone conclusion - didn't mean it to come across that way...Just a prematch perspective observation

I like Deulofeu in a match like this simply because this sort of play is right up his alley and Arsenal's play will be 2nd nature to him...But perhaps he'll be used as an impact sub...Mirallas has been playing very well of late himself

Just woke up on a sofa at my mates house with a miserable hangover in a foul mood.

Then all of a sudden I remember that those wonderful boys in blue are going to be doing all kinds of brilliant things at the Emirates today and I feel happy again.

It's so great supporting Martinez' Everton.

I agree we have match winners, in particular our attacking triumvir of Luk, Ross and Kevin.

However Arsenal are a better side.

Doesnt mean we can't get a result. We just have to have our best performance of the season today.

Arsenal have been boss, but if we shut Carzorla and Ramsey out and GTFAT we can win this.
