Bad news - Sat in middle of tropical storm

It's emergency stations here on Samui as you've probably read on the news.

Anyone have any cyclone experience? Should I tape up my windows? I've tried sawdust and putting the patio doors in rice but perhaps I can do more.

Storm hasn't properly hit yet but it's wild already. I'll stick one of the mattresses against the windows if it gets worse I think.

I thought it was the right thing to do but Google has mixed scientific reviews saying it might just increase the size of shards that inevitably will aim for my head.

Plus the sticky will be annoying to get off.

tape up your bumhole if I were you. shove a footlong sub up there first mind.

Hey Diogenes. Been following the thread and hope you’re ok. I’m on Samui as well. Due to leave tomorrow and been chilling thru the storm. Seems quiet now tho. All be brighter tomorrow. Look after yourself.
