Are you stupid????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Yakubu scored pyar goals.
But as well you know, the point was you said none of the above cost 5m, when Koldrup did and Billic was 4.5. Unless you are talking about net spend in which case yous a kopite son

Im talking value to the team, we spent 5m, hes scored 1 goal and hes proper terrible, nothing to do with net spend, we wont be getting that money back and hes still USELESS.

So getting the money back is important to you and a NET loss matters right? We spent 5m for a striker Martinez trusted and who would have got more game time if a)he hadn't got injured and b)we'd loaned Ba instead of Lukaku as we'd initially planned to. He ain't useless but people see fit to lay into him for half hour cameos where he is actually quite useful

HES POO

Have to admit that I like Kone. Think he's hard working and gets into some good positions. Once he's got plenty of minutes under his belt, and fully settled in, I can see him being a real asset. Can't afford him getting any more serious injuries though, as he is not exactly a young lad and probably only has a few more seasons left in him.

God, my posts are boring lol

Sure mate. I look forward to seeing that in a couple of seasons when he is 33.

I thought Kone did alright last night , held the ball up well and brings others into the game quite well.
His introduction did not in any way lessen our domination of the game, if anything it strengthened it.

yes. But my original question stands. Do you see him scoring a goal ever any time soon?
Because I think there is more chance of Tim Howard winning player of the season as it stands...

Even though he's a striker with Rom on the pitch its not really his job. He plays mostly with his back to the goal and gets the midfield involved, which in a way should be his job, after all we have a ton of goal scoring mids and no one to get them into good positions. One of the reasons that Ossie has looked pretty good so far is that Kone has been getting him the ball in space. He did free up Ossie (I think) late who put in a sweet cross that almost lead to a goal. He also kept a ball alive in the box that almost led to a goal. So I thought he did pretty well.

So you are happy if he never scores a goal again? I see.

Thought he was poor and we'd have been better bringing on Atsu to get some crosses in for Lukaku, or to run at their defence. With Kone on I felt Lukaku was less of a goal threat. Sure he got on the ball more wide right but he never looked like scoring from there. When your striker is in that kind of form like Lukaku was last night, we shouldn't be putting another one on in his space and asking the in-form one to take a wider position.

Looking on from the Park End he looked a bit lost last night .. honest graft yes. Maybe he needs more confidence .. I hope so & hope that he comes good.
