Hard to know mate, maybe they know the lid and vice versa and he wants to come back to familiar surrounding and plumped for them- though im not sure O Neill was there when he was.

Who said we ever were? It’s the usual process. A player is never mentioned on the forum. A player is linked and highlighted to the forum. People watch the YouTube’s and decide we need him. Other teams get interested. Other team buys him. Everton get slagged for not getting the player…even though we probably had zero interest in them!!!

It wouldn't surprise me TBH if it wasn't his agent briefing he's close to Bournemouth to force others to show his hand - he's been linked to bigger clubs than them (or us) and it would surprise me if crawling back to Bournemouth was the limit of his ambition.
