Are Man City actually any good?

If they fall any further behind I suspect City may well forget the Prem and concentrate on their holy grail of the CL.

Then we are relying on Spurs, the perennially nearly men, who not so long ago managed to finish third in a two horse race, to help us escape the nightmare.

That said I've already made my peace with it being the RS year this year. Can't deny they've been the best side in the league....just pass me the rope now.

I mean let's be honest they won the league unchallenged last season but now pressure has been applied and they're crumbling.
Since they won the league last season with a record points tally, are currently in the last 16 of the champions league and until a few hours ago were sitting second in the league, I would that yes, they are good.
If you actually meant to write “are Man City any good at handling pressure” which is what your responses seem to be about, then it may give a different answer

2 poor results no doubt about it.

Still reckon they will win it though.

I can’t see them giving the RS a seven point start from here, mac.

And the goal difference has fairly dwindled this past few weeks.

Sadly I think this is going to be the year we have been dreading for so long,

Only Spurs have a chance of catching them IMO.

We are all Spuds now :)

As many expected they've struggled when Fernandiho can't play. They tried Stones and Gundogan as the deep midfielder and neither get the job done. The rest of it crumbles from their. Also Delph is never a LB and keeps getting put their to make mistakes. It's weird to me that the richest squad in the world has positions without a true backup and it does cost them. Then Pep does dumb overthinking stuff that always costs them points somewhere like attempting to play Raheem up top at Chelsea.

All that said at full strength they're as good as it gets currently but I'm afraid they've thrown the league away because of the stuff above. CL is still in reach though.

Totally bizarre they havent managed to bring in top players all over the squad with the cash...

Walker and Delph look liabilities and Otemendi isnt winning any plaudits.

I think us having Brands shows the difference of a quality DOF rather than the blokes from Barca who pep has.

First real blip in almost 2 seasons and everybody declaring them rubbish.

Unreal, they are a superb side who have picked up a few injuries and struggling a little, they will be back blowing teams away very shortly.

Reality is fernandinho is the fulcrum for the side to play how it plays, when he's out they don't have that solid base to build from and they look vuberable as hell on the counter, that then effects their confidence going forwards.

If he misses the trip to their gaff from our loveables, then fully expect city to lose that game

The funny part about Fernandinho is that most of his breaking up of counter attacks is cynically fouling people and somehow never getting booked for it. It's seriously important to their suicidal high press that the holding midfielder know how to hack down players discreetly and no one else in the squad has that ability.

He's also fantastic at keeping the attack moving and getting the all into Silva, De Bruyne and the wide players and that is equally missed. It's ridiculous that a team with the City level of money has no actual reserve LB or DM.
