Yes, he said he is very impressed with the kids , also said he only wants players who have the will to be winners, players like Bally, and said he now understands the Alan Ball quote, " Once Everton has touched you nothing will be the same" very passionate guy,
Dave. Yes it sounds like we could be seeing a few breaking through.

S-W-O-O-N.

Catterick created it and 2 of his disciples HK and Joe Royle applied it. Now Bobby has brought it back. The passion and what it means to BE everton.

For some reason, Moyes's "People's club" words now seem so hollow

If only we could get some decent money into the club putting us on a level playing field I reckon he could be our Shanks/Busby - no-one would get near us.

Yes was there, a very nice evening, and yes he did turn the ***** down , he said it didn't feel natural and it was something he didn't feel comfortable with, his words, and then to draw a laugh he said they also play in red.

I would love us to have a song with that in when we played the s---e, not going to happen but it would be great.

If only we had someone on the forum who writes songs, or rhymes???

Might be too old for most but the the folk tune Bobby Shaftoe might do it.

To the Bobby shafto tune

Rob Mar.....ti....nez went to see

a football club a family

he come back and said with glee

stuff those kopite bastards.

Vil...la park and red men too

cried out loud because they knew

a "chosen" heart is royal blue

bobby blue mar..ti...nez

folks should watch this. The things Bobby says are just golden

Is that the same interview where Bill said something like 'it took me 30 seconds for me to know David Moyes was the man for the job...for Roberto it was 40' or something like that?
Absolute bell.

That's not for this thread mate.

Whatever you think of the board and owner, we're all over Martinez in here.

That said, I do think we have to give some credit to BK. You have to accept his passion for the club and that would have certainly helped martinez want to join our club. IMO.

So far I am impressed though, there is a certain positive ambience about the place now. I think i'm right in saying that Goodison has seen bigger attendances than this time last season and i think we'll receive more tv appearances this year.

I'm a big fan of Roberto. Long may he prosper.
