Anyone else very excited at the prospect of us relegating Spurs?

I remember when we were in for Kyle Walker, looked a sure thing, then they signed him. So we immediately went after his teammate Kyle Naughton who was a right back who'd been playing at left back to accommodate Walker at RB, and they went and gazumped us again for no good reason other than they could. They had absolutely no use for him, but didn't want us to have him. His career went nowhere as a result cos he couldn't get in their team.

Apparently Paulinha was pretty close until they made a move for him, even their manager at the time said he was surprised they went for him and got him.

Did the same with Danjuma, turned out to be a donkey but that's beside the point.

Moussa Sissoko was another one. So many times we've nearly got a player only for them to swoop in last minute and take him and not use him.

Then there was Saha, Pienaar and Richy

Not how I remember it.

We wanted Naughton not Walker.

We made an offer that was accepted before Spurs came in with a joint bid and took both of them.

Spurs won just 4 of their games at home in a year, they have only won 2 games at home in the league all season. If anyone thinks they are too good to go down, let that stat sink in. I personally cannot wait for those entitled bells to be relegated.

Interesting that we're away to Spurs last day.

May be a key game for a side who cant win at home against a side who love playing away.

Kyle Walker himself said he was all set to join us, then he heard Moyes was talking to Naughton and had brought him to his home to finalise talks. He felt a bit put out by that and at the same time Spurs invited him to a training camp so he went and ending up signing for them, and Naughton signed for them shortly afterwards.

Wasn’t aware of that.
The City star responded: “Yeah, and Naughts went to his house. Naughts went to Moyes’ house and he never invited me. So I went down to Devon, to Tottenham and I was like okay they like me more, so I signed for Tottenham.

So we were after both players and in the end lost both to Spurs.

I always thought we wanted Naughton and them Walker. But to get Walker they did a deal for both so Sheff Utd would sign off quickly.

they gonna pull a not long ago Evertonesque 17th place finish this season. That's their best wish scenario in the wreck of a club they are right now.
