We rejected a £40m bid on the 16th August - 2 weeks before the window closed

And that bid would have been hardly anything up front and a load of add-ons. What were we meant to do with that???

The club didn't receive anywhere near their valuation and didn't sell and leave us even more short in attaching areas. The correct call.
