We are all out defense though. If you put prime Eden Hazard in this team what would he be capable of? Who would he pass to or play off?

Last season when the lads were losing more often than not Gordon made it from being a lot worse.
We can always argue over who kept us up, but without Gordon shutting down and getting going a whole side of the pitch, the team would've been gutted more regularly. The hunter, the terrier, the wolf with Richarlison.

Switching to a midfield three has taken away a lot of his effectiveness, there are others doing what he would've done as effectively
Two questions for me to be answered this season,
- where can the team get the best out of him, wide forward, 10, right w back
- can he find power to his strikes

Any chance of us getting an offer of ~£50m has probably long gone. I doubt Chelsea will repeat the throwing money around the shop approach now they have a new manager and recruitment chief, and sports director soon too. I don't know who else would be daft enough to pay that kind of money for an average player.

Any "delay" in his contract situation is probably down to getting a release clause locked in more so than money - assuming he actually wants to sign a new contract that is. Maybe his agent is delaying til the winter window, maybe he's made it clear he wont sign a new deal and a winter transfer is being sounded out.

I can assure you that if Toney moved for 60m he would 100% be on well in excess of 100k.

So will Gordon...until then he has no claims on 100k weekly wages.

“Too many” as in one. Very debatable whether they’d actually still be interested too seeing as they walked away as soon as we demanded over £40m. He has done nothing at all to put himself in the shop window so far this season.
