Gordon wouldn't have done the solid defensive job that McNeil did yesterday. He's far from great, but I don't get where the hate comes from. Same with Gordon.

I agree that Gordon needs to pull his finger out. But if we're talking attacking wise then it's night and day between Gordon + McNeil.

Last season Gordon won us 2 points with a goal in a win over United, Macca has allready done that with his goal at Southampton, with 28 games to go

Not as simple as that and you know it. Gordon carried us for long periods. McNeil doesn't look like he could carry a bottle of water.

You seem to have a simplistic view that a player scoring a goal wins his team points, but somebody playing in place of him might have scored two and cleared 3 off the line. Football isn’t like that.

Tbf it's the easiest negotiation his agent will ever have to do. The club turned down at least 45 million for him. So the club value him at over 50 million but don't think he's worth 100k a week?

Plenty of premier league players worth more than 45 millions to their club and earning less than 100k.
