Another draw

I'm frustrated rather than worried... started well and have stagnated a bit. Obviously we'll take it considering at this point most seasons we're languishing towards the bottom of the table but it could, and should, have been better. One thing I will say though is that I would like to see us carry our momentum gained in the first half, into the second. All too often this season we've bossed the first half, not capitalised on it and been punished due to our ineptitude second half.

I reckon we would have won against the ****ter teams if Gibson was playing. Especially after seeing the effect he has had on us in the last two games.

Poor refereeing decisions have cost us a ton of points this year both in terms of goals disallowed (NUFC), pens not given to us (too many too count), and pens given against us. Throw in the odd late breakdown and we could be 3rd right now. The bad news is we can't get those points back. The good news is we've been playing well enough to be in 3rd. If we keep playing, the points will start to add up.

And I know all this sounds like excuses, Cotto, but I just think there's no need to panic.

We're doing enough to win games. We continue playing like we are currently and get our injured players back and things will get better for us.

Replacing Mirallas for Naismith(RM) is like swapping Pienaar for Gueye in terms of class and ability, once we field our strongest 11 i think we will go on a run and absolutely destroy a few teams in the process.

If this recent run of draws is our good form we're in trouble.

If its our bad form we'll clinch third.

I've been waiting for it to go one way or the other for weeks now but we keep on drawing.

Wigan we should have had more than one pen
Newcastle we had 2 goals chalked off
Arsenal should have had a blatent pen
City not a pen in a million years
QPR Pienaar should not have recieved a seconed yellow
Liverpool Suarez should have been sent off and there second goal was never a free kick

Kone a good yard offside for Wigan's first goal.

The Norwich equaliser wasn't a freekick (then awful defending)

You can see from all these comments how unlucky we've been this year not to have more points. We've been the architect of our own downfall with sloppy defending late on but a lot of these games we should have been out of sight.

I think the next month is really going to be crucial to see how the season will turn out. A few wins on the bounce and we'll be in a very strong position for the second half of the season. However, poor results will see other teams slip away from us. I do think we'll be in the mix with Chelsea and Spurs for 4th come the end of the season.

The performances are there, I'm not worried about the draws we've been getting (yet).

We've drawn 8 games, of those if we'd won 4 and lost 4 we'd be in 3rd right now.

Thats why draws are awful. As you say above if we'd won 4 and lost 4 of those 8 games we would be 4 points better off than we are now after taking obly 8 points from 8 games
