Anichebe over Jelavic?

Fellaini dropped back to CM and long balls were still getting pumped up to him, it isnt his game, he likes balls on the floor. That being said, the lad looks knackered and could do with a rest. I think with Gibson back and now Mirallas he will improve. Gibson likes to take it from the defence and look for that splitting pass, Mirallas too likes to look for that splitting pass.

How about we play them upfront together and see how that goes? i think it would help jelavic having someone like vic upfront with him, i think we should play them upfront together against bolton.

Why not try Victor & Vellios upfront v Bolton & give the winger Kennedy a game too v Bolton!

Nah we can't put a young player in mate cause we always play rubbish when we have 1 young player in the team unlike when we have a team full of experienced players who never play rubbish.

Sad to say it and I never thought i would, but at the moment Vic is playing better. Him and Miralles up front, taking turns of being on the last man.

Which will push Fellaini back.

And.......

tada

Neville out.

Whats not to like.

Time to drop Jelavic, not sure if he is mentally tired or has been found out?

Not sure how he's been found out when he's still getting 2-3 really clear cut chances per game. It's just his tempo's off, so really his 2nd touch is now more of a slapped forehead.

the way i see it hes slightly off form +getting a lot more attention this season from defenders plus( i think this is the major one) hes had to change hes game this season .....

to me he s most effective around the box acting on instinct( spur s goal) not out around 20-30yds from goal chasing or trying to set something up , yes its aprt of the game but not where most of his game time should be spent

Except Vic had that perfect cross to an in stride Jelavic who chose to wrong foot it backwards. I loved Jelavic last year but the only box he should be in this year is that xmas commercial.

Started less games, scored more goals
Should be that simple, it would also make Jelavic brick himself to know he isn't guaranteed a starting place

It would be simpler if he'd actually scored more goals than Jelavic but he hasn't. Here's a list of all our goalscorers this season:

9 - M. Fellaini (PL x 8, FA x 1)
7 - N. Jelavic (PL x 6, FA x 1)
5 - V. Anichebe (PL x 4, CC x 1)
5 - L. Osman (PL x 3, CC x 1, FA x 1)
4 - L. Baines (PL x 3, FA x 1)
4 - S. Pienaar (PL x 4)
3 - K. Mirallas (PL x 1, CC x 2)
3 - S. Naismith (PL x 3)
1 - S. Coleman (FA x 1)
1 - S. Distin (CC x 1)
1 - M. Gueye (CC x 1)
1 - P. Jagielka (PL x 1)

I'd switch to 4-4-2 for this one and put Neville at right-back with Coleman out while pulling Fellaini back into more or less center midfield. Big Vic and Jelavic on top together and young Kennedy on as our right winger (he can't do any worse than Naismith at the moment).

Howard
Neville - Jags - Distin - Baines
Kennedy - Osman - Fellaini - Pienaar
Jelavic - Anichebe

Adventurous but that's what cojones are for!

I haven't read the thread but I can pretty damn 100% guess it's already been said, but how about Vellios gets game time or some nods ahead of Jelavic? Why not? He's young, he's hungry, he's sexy and he can score goals. He knows it's his job and it's very disappointing I have not been proved wrong.

absolutely that should of been back of the net but if his game has expanded so much as in the extra work load his has to do to get involved is clearly distracting him from the natural part of his game

Last season he worked just as hard & that chance would have resulted in a certain goal.

He's suffering from a lack of confidence which is making him think about the chances coming his way, which is fatal for an instinctive goal scorer like Jela
