Angus 'happily dissatisfied' Kinnear

I actually think the older supporting generations who remember us being the best don't care they had their day in the sun and are happy for Everton to plod along as long as they don't embarrass them by say getting relegated.

Selfish.
C'mon that's nonsense. I'm in my 60's and so are my mates and I can tell you that none of us feel that way. We're all really pissed off with Moyes coming back and want him gone. When you've seen us win the league etc why wouldn't you want to see that again? The reality is that there's a cross section of supporters who've been happy to have Moyes back and I don't think age really comes into it.

Yeah from what I've been told TFG & Kinnear have raised this with Moyes. Moyes essentially responded with I'm going to play more experienced players to get into Europe. Then give them some game time in Europa Conference.

Those programme notes were so revealing. That's the problem for Kinnear. Up to then, he was generally considered to be an empty suit. Those programme notes have shown him to be much worse: an agent of the status quo, an apologist for mediocrity, a gaslighter.

The fact that Leeds United have prospered without him suggests he's a ball and chain hanging off any ambition fans have. He's a spoofer who likes to dissemble through the use of weasel words: "happily dissatisfied", "compelling", "gourmet food options at the stadium", etc.

He might think he can pull the wool over the eyes of uneducated people with his corporate terminology and snake oil salesmanship, but he's underestimating the breadth of this fanbase.

Whatever about the manager, I wouldn't be shocked if he gets his cards before the year is out. If he shackles himself to the dead hand of Moyes, he's signing his own P45.

This 100%. I've worked with people who use the language he does. Basically long words that sound nice but don't mean anything.

On almost every occasion, the person was doing it wasn't very good. It's a big red flag.

I think the lesson is that you should only speak at the end of the season rather than while things are totally up in the air. The comments look ridiculous in the context of us falling rapidly down the table in May.

His defence would be, it's the final home game. It's not easy.

But he writes without any nuance. He should have got across the season is still up for grabs much more.

Remember this is what he's saying publicly. We can only wonder he says privately.
