Tbh I’m not having him as a left back (yet) either, but absolutely should have had minutes on the left wing based on the one appearance he actually made.

Yea fair I wouldn’t have him starting at left back either but agree with what @DualityNSNO just said. Needs to be a pathway that can get him ready. If we're chasing a game with 10 mins to go it's not a bad option to have to bring on. More attacking left back that will be chomping at the bit to impress. Much rather see that than McNeil and a centre mid come on in the 80th minute.

As it is he will just hate being here, and sure he will have some mates in the squad who won't love how he's been treated either.
