Put in crosses against City where no one was there -- a bit like the useless Bolasie.

I reckon he'd be a really good 4th option as a wide player in the squad and i have no issue with him.

I think Townsend is performing as expected, maybe a little better than expected. All in all, he has been one of the better ones this season, and it's not bad for a player who was brought in solely to give the squad depth.

More concerned about players who have been brought in for far more money and are not close to Townsend's level.

Thought he was really poor again. Think he needs to be taken out personally but I think he'll have a chance to turn his form around against Palace.

For me, he should make way and we go to a midfield 3.

He’d be a great option off the bench / rotation option. We need better quality than him moving forward though.

Don’t understanding playing him centrally. His biggest attribute is being able to cross so playing where he can’t do it makes him pretty pointless.

Honeymoon period is definitely over here. Can't expect much more from a free transfer off Palace. I just hope whatever he lacks in quality he continues trying to make up for with effort.

Needs DCL up top / to be out wide for him to blossom fizzing balls in.

Think we'll be a much stronger side when DCL is back and Richarlison is in behind who is such a hard worker tracking back.

Yes I’ve said it for a while offers nothing most of the game. Can put in the odd decent cross, so why the hell is he playing in the second striker role
