Maybe not for this thread, but I see the co-founder of Superdry has been found guilty of rape today, what is it with rich people that is missing from their lives that they have to behave like this ?
They simply have a lot of power and feel like people saying "no" to them isn't an option. Many of them genuinely feel they are above the law, for example the behaviour of Mandleson and alleged Pedo Andrew—flagrant disregard for the law over decades that still hasn't caught up with them and seems highly unlikely they'll receive anywhere near the punishment other people would get.
Plus it seems like they can never have too much money. With their connections, they are easily able to make more through questionable means. A lot of it through insider trading that would send you and me to prison. Just look at the net worth of US politicians who are earning $150k a year but are worth $50m. Nobody even questions it.
I mean, we have people sent to prison for streaming Sky on their TVs!
