Andrew

mandelson failed security vetting, and still got given the ambassador role. against advice of security vetting!

guardian breaking story. starmzy is on a limb here because he's been lied to by mandy, and now has also been kept in the dark by the national security services. It's getting a bit difficult to believe this feigned ignorance. was supposedly the head of the cps.

An ever growing huge barrel of lies this!

lets do it...
  • who else has had a security failure over ruled to then take a position?
  • how come he has failed security clearance and been allowed to carry on his lordship ways?
  • who carries the can for the security failure cover up? mcsweeney has already denied all knowledge.
  • what other national security vetting processes are regularly hidden, dismissed, over ruled, and other wise ignored?

The 'law' on this 'honour' was passed almost 800 years ago and can't be changed!? So if he wants to, this entitled *bustard can still shag walk sheep over London Bridge, among other things, if he wants to.

"Inviting him to relinquish". British closeting at its finest and most embarrassing.

I'll buy him his herd, if someone else pays for the rocks to pelt him with.

If Starmer did know about Mandelson then the should resign, if he didn’t know then he should have known given his position and background, my only issue with him being removed is, apart from Andy Burnham, who would be any better. We have reached a point were our politicians see lying as a legitimate part of their job. The electorate voted out the Tories based in a large part for corruption and deceit and elect a government that promised a change only to get more of the same.
I am not a fan of democracy as it is manipulated by unscrupulous people on the extremes, however if we are to have democracy then surely we need an oversight body who scrutinise the elected parties manifesto and if they fail to deliver or deviate from it then they can be thrown out.
Surely the powers that be can come up with a better system than the current “lie, rinse, repeat “ system we now have. As politicians know longer have any sort of moral fortitude then we need a governmental system which can hold them accountable.

For clarity, the Hillsborough law where a requirement of candour is required, good job that's not gone through just yet...
Any country that requires a law of candour is heading in the wrong direction. In my job I would be in court regularly, in one case the opposition barrister thanked me for my candour, my barrister objected right away on the grounds that by thanking me for candour in one part of my evidence was to suggest I was not being open and truthful in other areas. The judge made the opposing barrister withdraw his remark.

Starmer is toast. He just doesn’t know it yet. Labour always come under more scrutiny. If this was Johnson it would have been off the front pages weeks ago.

But with all due respect, that might be because that giant hairy blancmange would have blundered into 2 or 3 even bigger scandals in the meantime whereas Starmer seems to wallow in the one career ending scandal at a time.

major piped up with his "defending the indefensible" speech and was shouted down by the boris-believers. blair won't stick his head above the parapet to call out similar here, not least because mandelson is very much a blair-buddy.

what else is he 'staggeringly' not informed regards. the former head of the cps.
