Plenty of things to discuss Blue, tactics after 3 straight wins probably isn't the best place to start picking holes is it.

Thought we looked good yesterday but first half a concern for me - a team like Palace who have a lot more pace and better quality could very well bring us back down to earth.

Great start but we aint unbeatable by any stretch and im hoping Carlo is still looking at the weak spots of our team to rectify before the deadline.

Oh god no, we aren't unbeatable and WBA asked questions and probably showed a weak spot against counter attacking pace, don't think shifting James into the middle will combat that though

This is basically how we play.
Midfield needs more discipline and positioning awareness.
Why would you like to play James or Gordon in Gomes' role?
They will have more freedom up front.

And Carlo said:
"We were really dangerous in front because we push up with the full-backs and had Andre Gomes and James Rodriguez between the lines."

Who’d have thought it

People turning on him because he’s had an injury and isn’t the player he was before ... almost bolasie like this

Gomes did his job yesterday. His role will to keep things ticking over. Thats the role he had and he did it. Others might have another idea of what he should be doing or what they want him to do but carlo wants him to do what he did yesterday and I'd go with carlo on this one

Thats how we played sitting back against a top 6 side - against teams like WBA as we saw yesterday Allan and Gomes pushed further up and Doucoure was almost the sole DM which is why I think we got caught out by their pace on the counter.

I also think James' lack of tracking back is a hinderance when you have a slow RB in Coleman especially against teams full of pace who will be saying "double up down their right hand side".

I think long term Allan & Doucoure dropping back and James slightly forward in behind Richarlison, DCL and a quick wide player who also can track back alot and help Coleman will be how we will go. I imagine James out wide is to give him time to get fully upto fitness and with the pace of the league.

imagine having James were Gomes is there.

May as well be on the bench, most pointless thing ever. But peeps don’t know how the togger works

If we had the funds I would still get another midfield enforcer (Soumare) another box to box midfielder who incredibly strong and has a great range of passing. Gomes will miss games and still needs recuperation really. We would truly have a midfield to be reckoned with. Only a matter if time toll Arsenal go for Soumare though - we've been loosely linked before so hope we get in there.
hi buddy can u please be quiet for about a year thank u so much.

His form prior to injury last season wasn’t great mate. That being said the whole team was disjointed pre-Ancelotti last season. Players badly out of form, no organisation or game plan so that all factors into it.

I like Gomes and think he’s a very important cog in our system from now on. He looks high on confidence at the moment, he was doing a brilliant job helping cover for Digne yesterday and was winning the ball back which was great to see from him.

I think people forget this is not the finished team.Carlo has just brought 4 players in (counting)Niels. Its only the start of building a team that can win trophys. In Carlo we trust.NSNO.

Not to be pedantic but this is isn't even remotely true - we lined up in exactly the same way. The only difference yesterday was the right-sided midfielder (Doucoure and then Gylfi) would drift quite wide on the right when we had possession to allow Coleman to overlap James and maintain some balance on the right.

If we switch to a 4-2-3-1 with James in the middle, that would immediately make Richarlison (and whoever plays RW) much less effective as they'd have to defend much deeper in a flat 4 when we don't have the ball. Carlo has got the formation spot on, and I don't see why he'd change it now.
