Problem is you can post the same thing in Gomes, Davies & Sigurdssons threads - decent off the bench against tiring opposition legs but not good enough starting from the off.

Sadly all 3 will start Sunday if the match goes ahead.

Yes - only happens a couple times a year, and is over quickly

When ever Gomes plays he just adds something different, I think with him liking to have possession, it just calms the side down. Him coming on when he did yesterday helped james, who was coming way to deep to influence the game at times. It allowed him to stay in the areas of the pitch where he’s dangerous.

I agree. Always looks much better coming off the bench.

He can definitely stay as a squad filler. Doesn't have the legs to play 90 minutes against a decent team, but doesn't give a goal away every week like Davies.
