My own opinion, I thought he was very good the year and half before his injury.

The injury was a fork in the road performance wise.

That said I think how Silva set up was enabling for Andre and Gylfi in particular.
I think he’s had less than 10 genuinely good games for us since he first arrived. He had 4/5 in a row when he first came in and since then they’ve been very few and very far between. I absolutely loved him for the first couple of months and by the end of his loan I didn’t even want us to sign him, that’s how much he fell off a cliff, about 10 months before the injury.

I think his form was fluxuante later in his first loan year, but he was still progressive and valuable I put it down to no pre season with us and he came carrying knocks if I remember right. He didn’t start the second season if I remember right with an injury, but I think he hit form again a month or so before his injury. Hasn’t looked the same player to me since, I think it’s really impacted him and not sure it’s reversible.

His football brain when he arrived I was so excited finding passes no one in our club could ,physically he looks overweight to me and maybe confidence is shot .absolutely gutted me thought he was gonna be our superstar .pray it may change

Never seen such a decline in a player. Looked like a class act when he arrived, he’s now so far gone I don’t see him coming back.

His best this season has been when coming off the bench, that’s maybe the best thing to try and get him back to what he was.

He was great when we first got him on loan, then other teams then worked out that he needed too much time, too much space and had a severe lack of pace. Now most teams realize this and pressurize him, but, make no mistake, if he is given the time to take that extra touch he seems to need, he is a very good player. Unfortunately, most teams in the prem will not give him that time and space.
He would be far more suited to playing in France or Italy.

He would be better in Serie A or back in Portugal. He comes across as a great bloke but his form this season isn't good enough. If we offered him to other Premier league teams who would be interested? Same for Davies.

Yeah. Far too indecisive and ponderous on the ball. Looks like he hasn't played at elite level before. Occasional glimpses of some ability but actually offers little to the team. Cant defend, no good at break up play, not box to box, doesn't add goals and unfortunately no pace. Shame to see him go if he does but he's not quite at it. Playing him and Davies and Gylfi in same team and you've got a bang average midfield.
