A good midfielder would have controlled that second half. Spurs had no desire to have the ball and were just trying to hold on. I thought he was worse than the rest tbh.

Him and Sigurdsson are making me look back at the Heitinga/Neville dream team with envy.

He’s lacking confidence and playing. Safe a lot when he’s great a carrying the ball but to say he’s worse than siggardson and Davies is just fantasy.

Davies isn’t strong enough for this level. At least give Gomes a bit of time. He’s had a horrific injury.

A midfield works as a unit, if any of us had to play with the other 3 we put out we'd have a panic attack and go into our shells too.

Nail on head I think. Not the same player since but it is early days and hopefully the matches now set him up for next season.
