If we are not competing at the top end of the table within 18 months he’s toast like the other wastrels, no special dispensation for success at other clubs.

In a weird way I'm glad he saw us for what we are today.
Would have been typical for some of our no marks to have worldies today.

So that performance today was perfect.

I'd be happy with him to build a balanced team, that has a bit of consistency, creates chances and has some positivity about it, it's been negative for so long, I would like to see some signings that will make a difference to the squad

We need to be realistic, as good a manager he is, there’s no way he’s winning anything or achieving much with this current crop of players. Out of the team we have I’d say only Sidibe (if still here) Digne, Gomes and Richarlison will be regular starters. The likes of Mina, Holgate, Iwobi, Bernard, Delph & Kean will be fringe players. I can’t really comment on GBamin because we haven’t seen enough of him. We definitely need major additions and to completely bin the likes of Keane, Sigurdsson and Tosun.

It’a difficult to say what my expectations are of him. It depends on the funds he is given to spend and the calibre of players he brings in.

Sign Zlatan on the 1st of January and he scored the winner at the pit the stuff dreams are made of.

As a free cant he sign at any point?

I would get him in monday no joke we need a prescence / goalscorer up top.

Would also allow us a short stop gap up top in order for us to spend funds on a CM, CB and hopefully another winger in January.

I will not be satisfied with a cup win. The league is the barometer of performance and the only acceptable measure. He has to deliver qualification in the champions league minimum and probably regularly. Now that won't happen next year, so we're talking at least 2 and likely 3 or more seasons to be able to hopefully achieve that. Finishing top 4 is not an unreasonable ask. Moyes did it, so Ancelotti must do it and must do it regularly.

Aiming to win the league, although little more than a pipe dream currently, is an important objective. You have to shoot for the stars to get close.

My expectation is that he will bring about a semblance of organisation to a team desperately lacking it. I don’t expect that he will be an overnight success and he will require extensive resources and at least 7 or 8 high quality players added to his starting line up before he makes any impact, over and above the clubs expectations prior to this season (i.e 7th or 8th).

I expect he will, if given reasonable resources in line with the spend from the other top six clubs, get us in a position to achieve Europa League Football by the end of next season.

Unless Moshiri surprises us with unprecedented, City and PSG levels of investment (which I don’t think he will) then I think it’s unrealistic to expect we finish any higher than 7th either this season or next.

I expect he’ll do a good job and depart with his reputation intact, I don’t expect he will stay longer than 2 years for one reason or another, though naturally I’ll be delighted if he does.

Whether it ends up in silverware, qualification for the Champions League or neither of those two, I expect that it will be the most exciting couple of years to be an Everton fan, especially if you’re under 35.

The only given expectation is that with the amount of money we have spent that we are nowhere near relegation places and we are at least ahead of 90% of the teams who spend less than us.

If we can compete well against the usual top 6 teams (& Leicester/Wolves at the moment) and win a derby for Pete's sake, then anything else is a lovely bonus.

I’m not sure I think he is a galaxy player till the end of december I may be wrong.

yeah his presence alone would be sound enough for players like richarlison, DCL and Kean because they can learn a lot from him.

I think they will of said he can buy whoever he wants personally just to get him through the door it’s going to be interesting because they players we are now going to be linked with are going to be next level

3points would of been great but the last thing we need is the crabs who have stunk Goodison out for the last few years to have had blinders today and been given a chance by the new manager but am kinda hopeful Carlo already knows who is on his hitlist
