Lived to 94, stayed a sound, happy fella until his dying days, stay single lads!
Yep mate,I cherish my conversations about everything and Everton with my old fella, tap into his memories, the oldies are the fabric of our club,we should all take our elder Evertonians memories on board for the days after they have left us.An altogether different breed that generation and one that should be cherished by us all, not ignored, shoved into corners or treated like children! Nothing i like more than listening to the likes of my old man (84) talking about the 40's and 50's, the emergence of Everton as the millionaires and the rise of the school of science. Bless them all, Pat will be necking a bottle of porter with Dean, Lawton and Troop right now!
I've taken the liberty of downloading the 1962/63 Champions photo you posted. I think it's the colour version of the monochrome one that was on the side of the packet of Typhoo Tea my mum bought home from the shops in 1963, when I became an 11 year-old Evertonian. Every time I post from now on it'll be a reminder of your Uncle Pat.Lovely eulogy, I'm sure he'd be proud of you for posting it. RIP, Pat.
