American Food

Not all canadians like poutine or speak French only in the East

....went into a Paris bar with my son after watching the Arc last month. It was a Canadian bar and we'd had a skinful. I saw a dish being served, the waiter said it was poutine. Never heard of it but it was perfect stodge. Went to Jamaica a few weeks later and the resort Sports Bar served the same dish, we all loved it.

I've been living in the States for the last 27 years and recently went back England, first time in 15 years. The variety of different food in the US is beyond comprehension if you've never been there

Thanksgiving.

You may think "pumpkin pie" but in my part of the world, you must bring the king of tubers to the party to bring joy for dessert.

Sweet potato pie, to finish. We have a lot to be thankful for. Including the pie.

You can get cheese on chips back home, you can get gravy on chips back home. It is a matter of time before some madman realizes they are sitting on a goldmine.

Our realtor just dropped off a pumpkin pie as is their Thanksgiving tradition. Seriously considering grabbing a slice for breakfast
