MMMMMMmmmMMM subway. im pretty much wheat & bread free after self diagnosing myself with gluten intolerance but ERMYGAD. STEAK AND CHEESE.
Whenever I'm at Subway, which admittedly is not a high-quality eatery, and I'm asked if I want "American cheese" on my sandwich I have to work hard (and usually succeed) at responding, 'KOFF 'MERICAN (not unlike 'KOFF OSMAN...)

You WHAT?@IRO1977 regarding the cheese thing.
There is a cheese we call 'American Cheese'. It's about as low brow as it comes in the cheese world.
However, we make cheeses from around the world...and do some of them just as good if not better. It's kinda like how we caught and surpassed France in wine back in the 70's.
Not quite right on either point.So what's the deal? From what i've heard meats are generally nicer over there but they have no clue about cheese, right?
