American Food

That must be one hell of a big tub.

Been to an American 'steakhouse' tonight. My missus had a blue cheese steak burger which looked awesome...but I think was a tad overpowering to the taste buds!

I had the rack of ribs with bbq glaze....fantastic!

I half figured I was getting set up to see amorous animals.

It sounds good, but I don't know that I would consider it traditional soul food...more like "high brow" soul food.

Opinions @mezzrow?

It looks good for what it is, which is a "theme" restaurant. With the local materials at hand, I imagine it can be quite good.

That said, this is restaurant food, as opposed to home cooking. I always think of southern food as home cooking. If I wanted to go out, I wouldn't order what I can get at home (he lied). What also strikes me is that the prices are pretty close to what we'd pay here for the same, except that we are using bucks instead of quid. Advantage USA.

I'd eat there. We'll go when I get back to L4, Bryan. Only one way to find out.

Yeah, this is what I was trying to say.

I get what you're both saying, but if you don't live in the South, going out is sometimes the best option...especially if you don't cook much like me. If you're ever in Seattle, go to a spot called The Kingfish Cafe...as good, if not better than anything I ever had in NoLa

*edit...THE best cornbread I've ever had
