Haha. I'd forgotten all about Carvel until earlier this month, while streaming Archer off netflix they made repeated mentions of Cookie Puss. Brought back all sorts of childhood memories.
Grew up in Massachusetts through 12 before heading out west, into Carvel-Free Country. Never had them, to the best of my knowledge. We had a really cool place in town called Walter's Dairy. Used to go there occasionally. Gone now. Sad, really, was an institution for 60 years. An American institution that townies still idolize via Facebook. A true bit of Americana...
