Bunch of bad fascists on here. Language evolves with the times and with regions. I'm not having a southerner tell me I'm not speaking english proper and I shouldn't get to tell a yank the same.

That said, envy and jealousy don't mean the same thing, "I could care less" makes no sense as a phrase and herbs has a fecking h in it, you bellends.

Everything else I'm grand with though.

Language evolving is fine - it's a fluid, ever-changing system that allows us to express ourselves in a unique and brilliant way.

But when people start using text speak in job applications WE NEED TO START BURNING THEM.
 
We speak way too fast where I'm from.

If you're from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut you speak at a rate like nobody else. It's just part of how we talk. I get told to slow down in other parts of the country.
 
American to me is just a regional dialect. The annoying thing is that they are re-writing the words to sound like how they talk.

It's like having a Brummy dictionary. Same principle.
