Is it the internet we invented and you're using that makes us so dumb? Or what exactly made you reach that conclusion?

And why have universal health care when you can subsidize people make under 40k for private insurance? It's easy for you other countries to have universal care, when all of the private research gets done in our free market.

As far as guns...well, without our gun touting mind set, you would be living in Nazi Germany right now.

In Oklahoma there is a law that states it is unlawful to put any hypnotized person in a display window

Actually HTML the very foundation of the internet is a BRITISH invention created by a British person working in Switzerland - Tim Berners-Lee.

Separately; Fibre Optics:
1920s, John Logie Baird in England and Clarence W. Hansell in the United States patented the idea of using arrays of hollow pipes or transparent rods to transmit images for television or facsimile systems.

Again, another one you can't claim for your self there.

You can have the invention of the microchip; Jack Kilby (US) - however his work was on the foundation of the BRITISH invention of the Computer. ( 1786 by J.H. Müller (German; never built invented concept only) and 1822 built by Englishman Charles Babbage) and if we mean the Electronic Computer; again BRITAIN Alan Turing from Cambridge UK who built the worlds first electronic computer in 1943.

So. You didn't invent the computer. You didn't invent the infrastructure (Fibre Optics) and you didn't invent the language/code that is it's foundation.

So how can you claim you invented the internet?

The internet is a BRITISH invention.

Despite what Al Gore would tell you.

don't forget the telephone lines that are also often used, and also a system was developed where it all comes through your domestic power lines with each power point having a separate address (norweb had a house in A-in-M that worked completely like that).

you can't even lay claim to Apple 'cos Isaac Newton invented them and B. Tel* promptly stuck a crossbow bolt through one.

*Founder of Intel, so called because whilst struggling to come up with a name he said that given that it will make folks happy he will name it after when he is most content..... IN MRS TEL, which became intel.

I think you'll find those pesky communists played as big a part in stopping that lot as USA. The Russian contribution to the allied victory in the second world war gets swept under the carpet a bit in western countries. No I'm not underestimating American intervention. Without it, we certainly would have lost the war. However, if Hitler hadn't broken his pact with Stalin it wouldn't have been enough.

The Turing Machine was only theoretically explained by Turing.

Actually, Turing built the first programmable digital computer. Atanasoff's machine also wasn't finished until 1942.

Whilst Turing had a working programmable machine by 1938, after inventing it in 1936
