Its just something amazon sells, you whack it into your HDMI slot and it effectively acts as a smart tv where you can add apps to it for channels and services.
Fairly easy to use (Dead easy for the legit stuff anyway).
It's all I use, not had any Sky or anything like that for decades now.

I am more than willing to pay for what I want to watch, I don't want to pay for stuff I will never watch though. I don't care about Brentford against Brighton or any non Everton games really. So give me a package where I can just watch our games (like other places in the world can) and charge me a fair price and I would be happy to do so.
If you take that option away from people they will find their own means to do it.

Depends what's causing the buffering.
If it helps any, my fire cube is lightning compared with my 6 years old LG tv when it comes to loading content and apps.
At least it was last year when it was new. I swear to God all tech like this is designed to slow and become laggy over time so you think it's inevitable replacement is better.

the buffering could be caused by crap service, crap internet or older device. a 4k firestick should be sufficient.
make sure they regularly clear the app cache and reboot the device and internet at least once a month.

Try wont help a dot. Buffering is a problem with traffic, network shaping or otherwise. Buy FireTV network adapter and cable in versus wireless or get a better errr provider.

Rarely get buffering with mine but I find it helps quite a bit if it happens
yes mines 4k is yours black & white.....£80 a year
We use the nvidia shield - boy have they gone up in price ... - other good devices are available now though ....
