He’ll make mistakes like any young player but there couldn’t be a better guy to sort them out than Gana Gueye really. It’s like we’re buying the guy a big brother.

I also wonder if that's a big chunk of the Everton attraction to him, too.

He's Senegalese by birth, a defensive mid, a Ligue 1 player who has seen Gana up close (I'm guessing)... the guy could well be one of his heroes.

From the bits I watched of his interview he’s incredibly mature, confident and ambitious, and definitely has some star quality.

I doubt his or our plan is for him to see out a five year contract but in two years time there’s a lot of money to be made.
