You're not thinking clearly.
I quote:
That is not the same as wanting "us finishing as high as possible". Hull may play with a freedom that undoes us, and we risk Spurs overtaking us. We even risk Man U overtaking us so we lose out on Europe altogether, winning the infamous 7th-placed trophy.
And then, just to rub it in, Man City draw their final game, with RS winning their final two, meaning RS win the title anyway.
You still happily want us to love against City?
Who's that, Greg Roughley? I know what you mean, tho'...my enjoyment of Football Weekly is botched by how often they skip over anything Everton-related.
ok mate i may have worded it wrong originally. What i am saying is if we are finishing 5th anyway then i dont care if we lose against city. Admittedly i wont know until a week later. Obviously if we can finish 4th and this means they will win the league i will begrudgingly take that. Also if we have to beat city to qualify for europa i would want us to do that too. The permutations are endless and i wont go through every one but i think thats pretty clear.
How do you know we're not finishing 4th? We're just a point behind. Arsenal draw tonight, we're 2 points behind with both of us having 2 games remaining. If Arsenal slip up again (possible) we can still finish 4th. Champions League is a game-changer for us.
Having perspective? Man City a meaningless game? I'm not convinced your perspective is correct, mate.
I'm not willing to risk our future to spite the RS. I grew up with RS-supporting family. Granted, not in Liverpool city itself, but I know a little bit of what you're saying. I just don't agree.
Arsenal will put 5 or 6 tonight past Newcastle and 4th will be confirmed gone despite it being 4 points with 6 to play for, miracles don't happen mate simple as
It's also possible that i will win the lotto then night after meeting twin playboy centerfolds in Huyton Maccies and having a 8 hour romp, before finding a Faberge egg in a hedge on the way home, similarly it's not gonna happen
I went mental when Ba scored, wouldn't be arsed if Bobby shoved Lukaku to left back and put McCarthy in goal if Arsenal win tonight. Hate them more than anything in the world and the joy I'd get from Gerrard costing them the league would be unexplainable.
Call me bitter all you want, the Gerrard slip could turn out to be the best moment of my life

I hate them. As you should do your rivals, but when our rivals also happen to be the most arrogant, deluded whoppers in football and get bummed constantly by the media, how can you not be "bitter" towards them. Then there is Luis Suarez. I've never seen a cheat like him in football.
The number of reds who have told me I'm bitter because I don't want them to win the league is really starting to get on my tits. I've tried to explain that I don't want them to win it because they're our local rivals and it's nothing to do with bitterness but they genuinely aren't having it.
Is it bitter though? Would they really be supporting us if the roles were reversed, like so many of them are claiming?
