Am I bitter?

You are not bitter at all. I am the same and I'd take defeat on saturday, we'll win at Hull trust me lids ;)

Season 97/98 venue Anfield match Liverpool V Arsenal (champions) score 4-0 Liverpool chant of choice from the whole ground 'bluesh*te going down' to the tune of 3 lions by Badiel an Skinner.

They are obsessed halfwits, that being said I'm firmly in the camp that wants us to beat City on Sat

You're not thinking clearly.

I quote:

That is not the same as wanting "us finishing as high as possible". Hull may play with a freedom that undoes us, and we risk Spurs overtaking us. We even risk Man U overtaking us so we lose out on Europe altogether, winning the infamous 7th-placed trophy.

And then, just to rub it in, Man City draw their final game, with RS winning their final two, meaning RS win the title anyway.

You still happily want us to love against City?

Who's that, Greg Roughley? I know what you mean, tho'...my enjoyment of Football Weekly is botched by how often they skip over anything Everton-related.

ok mate i may have worded it wrong originally. What i am saying is if we are finishing 5th anyway then i dont care if we lose against city. Admittedly i wont know until a week later. Obviously if we can finish 4th and this means they will win the league i will begrudgingly take that. Also if we have to beat city to qualify for europa i would want us to do that too. The permutations are endless and i wont go through every one but i think thats pretty clear.

Aye mate...you're right. The permutations are endless xx

How do you know we're not finishing 4th? We're just a point behind. Arsenal draw tonight, we're 2 points behind with both of us having 2 games remaining. If Arsenal slip up again (possible) we can still finish 4th. Champions League is a game-changer for us.

Having perspective? Man City a meaningless game? I'm not convinced your perspective is correct, mate.

I'm not willing to risk our future to spite the RS. I grew up with RS-supporting family. Granted, not in Liverpool city itself, but I know a little bit of what you're saying. I just don't agree.

We blew the chance of CL at the Palace game mate, if we needed to reinforce the fact we had we went and gave that performance against Saints, in the end we made it easy for Arsenal to not fold under pressure by blowing the 2 chances we had to really turn the heat up, Arsenal will put 5 or 6 tonight past Newcastle and 4th will be confirmed gone despite it being 4 points with 6 to play for, miracles don't happen mate simple as

It's also possible that i will win the lotto then night after meeting twin playboy centerfolds in Huyton Maccies and having a 8 hour romp, before finding a Faberge egg in a hedge on the way home, similarly it's not gonna happen, and i don't want them winning the title so will sing blue moon on sat when city win, wish them good luck, then tell them next year we will stomp them all over the park when we are playing for something and the rs are below us

er...okay mate.

I'm bitter as hell and I couldn't care less. I hate them, I would've smiled and laughed evilly watching them dissolve into administration under Hicks and Gillett.

They're bitter too though. Football fans are bitter. It's part and parcel.

I went mental when Ba scored, wouldn't be arsed if Bobby shoved Lukaku to left back and put McCarthy in goal if Arsenal win tonight. Hate them more than anything in the world and the joy I'd get from Gerrard costing them the league would be unexplainable.

Call me bitter all you want, the Gerrard slip could turn out to be the best moment of my life
:D

I would happily root for our beloved neighbours if they did this ONE thing:

Apologised for the Steaua flag on the Kop - explaining WHY it was disrespectful, vulgar and offensive.

That's never going to happen.

Psychopaths never admit to wrongdoings. They don't even acknowledge any of their deeds as falling into that category.

Therein lies the problem.

I hate them. As you should do your rivals, but when our rivals also happen to be the most arrogant, deluded whoppers in football and get bummed constantly by the media, how can you not be "bitter" towards them. Then there is Luis Suarez. I've never seen a cheat like him in football.

One wannabe "hardman" runs him fairly close on that:

Thankfully he's an RS c@nt too.

The number of reds who have told me I'm bitter because I don't want them to win the league is really starting to get on my tits. I've tried to explain that I don't want them to win it because they're our local rivals and it's nothing to do with bitterness but they genuinely aren't having it.

Is it bitter though? Would they really be supporting us if the roles were reversed, like so many of them are claiming?

Yes, it is bitter, but so what?

Im fed up of people on here being embarrassed to be called bitter by them, when THEY are the reason we are bitter in the 1st place.

Anyone who says they don't care about what they do is kidding themselves, and that goes both ways. The only reason ANY of their fans want us to do anything, is because

1. They are already above us...

2. We will be doing them a favour, ie taking points off their rivals without directly threatening them...

3. It is another place taken between them and United, who BTW, they are even MORE bitter towards than we are to them, because they stole their record and therefore thunder/bragging rights...

There is absolutely no reason to feel guilty for feeling bitter, none whatsoever, so if it makes you feel better, keep it up. You wont be the only 1.
