Allardyce Revisited

It's no myth that Allardyce has turned round the fortunes of several clubs.

That's not a myth. It happened and it shows every sign of happening at Everton.

Of course there are plenty folk willing him to fail. I can't understand that way of thinking.

To what extent will our fortunes be turned around? Will he cement our mid table position and get us to the promised land of 40 points?

Christ mate. I don’t think Allardyce is a bad manager and think he’ll probably do just fine, but I feel bad for you that our club has lowered your expectations so much.

The good thing about Allardyce is that we won’t suffer tonkings the way the Silva’s Howe’s and Martinez’s of this world let you, but what he has proven is that he has a high ceiling and it’ll take a lot for him to crack it. Let’s wait a little longer and get through at least one transfer window before we make serious judgements.

I don't understand why Allyrdyce is being painted as greedy and corrupt.... compared to who in the world of football ?

I don't think he is any better or worse than 95% of people involved in the game.
He is manager of Everton and I wish him every success as manager I hope we win every game while he is in charge. It doesn't bother me that he tries to make as much out of the game as he can.

Martinez bought back the school of science then the next season he was a fraud.
Koeman was amazing, not standing for any of that Barkley nonsense, now he is a fraud who cost us Barkley.
Allardyce was a fraud when he joined, but now four games against some of the weakest teams in the league he is a tactical genius.

Then again this is forum that hated Rooney, Lukaku, Stones and Barkley... probably the most effective players to where the shirt in the last 20 years.

It is a bit Lord of the Flies on here

can't really slate him because he's done a decent job thus far

but the football hasn't been great so far, it's been acceptable because of the results but once that luck wears off it'll start becoming an issue ( lets be honest we was lucky against both RS and Newcastle )

Luck always plays a part, thank goodness it is about time we had some. But give Sam credit for getting the players believing in themselves, getting stuck in and playing with some energy and determination. Methinks you are selling Sam short.

You're posts remind me of one of Bluekippers finest posters, The Sower of the Seed, you could almost be the same excellent author.

Ah! The Sower....one of only two posters on here or Kipper that I have actually met in real life.......had fish n chips with him at my cousins chippy in Crosby Road.......

Any idea why invading forces even bother with all that horrible war and stuff?

They should just turn up, lurk for about two weeks, send some nice presents and the forums will light up with platitudes, welcoming them in like an incredulous vampire.

'Revisited'. Still laughing at this.

The way I see it, Big Sam kept Sunderland up, a minor miracle. You don't keep teams like that up playing pretty football. As her said the other day, all he has done so far is organised the defence. Even last night when we didn't get out of 2nd gear, we managed to play some decent stuff. It's still going o take time to get us 100%, it's only a few weeks ago we were letting in four every match.

No flies on Sam atm...plus, nobody ever got sacked for winning too many games in less than perfect style.
Give him a year to, hopefully, grow into the job
