I didn't want him to come here, and now that he's here, the football is even more awful than I'd feared. Even when the other sides were smashing the post 4 times a game and we were scraping out points through utter dumb luck, I was not even remotely convinced like some others.
But it would be absolute madness to sack him so soon. We'd become even more of a farce than we already are, and no serious players or managers would want to come here for some time.
We've thrown 50 million quid into buying the players that he wants so far.... imagine even conceiving of it being a wise choice to sack him before the window even ends. Good grief. Who do we think we're going to replace him with at this point? Tony Pulis? The exact same thing only worse? We'll be spending more on wages for sacked managers than players at this rate.
This year is a write-off.... grin and bear it, sack him at the end of the year if results don't turn, and give the replacement the summer to try imposing some sort of coherence out of this extravagent disaster.
