ALLARDYCE - Any positives

So pretty much like our record but with some points taken from there?

Not many have a good record there especially with a typically crap team like he's managed.

His record vs Klopp is good though, played 3, a win a draw and a 1-0 loss

Then again probably because he sets teams up the way that has caused prior to this season the rs a lot of problems, sitting deep, playing for set pieces or the counter etc

He was here for 10 years, this is entirely with us.

He's won ONE game against them - the FA Cup ITV game.

Which is why moyes was the definition of a manager grateful for that supposed 'glass ceiling' line the media love, it covered his failure to progress the club as shown by it and the manager regarding certain teams as superior before a ball was kicked.

I know we are all feeling pretty low right now and quite rightly too but are there any positives Sam's arrival?

I'll start with the obvious one, he's never got a team relegated and after Thursday and Sunday's awful showings relegation was a genuine concern.

any others?

How do you know we are ALL feeling pretty low? Personally my mood has lifted considerably since Wednesday night, there's a chink of light at the end of the tunnel and I now think with a few additions and some back from injury we will be ok. I think the whole managerial thing is a game of roulette at our level, Sam could get us flying maybe, but more likely he will save our bacon then push on and I'd settle for that. Cheer up and stop assuming everyone feels as you do, it is not a good disposition for life my friend.

Anyone know What his record is like at Satan’s pit? Should I kindle any kind of hope for there or should I crawl under a rock for that game as I seem to have done for the last 15 years!

Get behind the sofa. Klopp and Liverpools high press vs Sam and our ale house football there's only one outcome.

The lack of victories and points tally are damning enough. For me it was also the rarity of giving anyone a game in these fixtures. The sense we'd narrowly lost and given a team a fright or a battle. There was the odd win at city or a game or two against arsenal and Chelsea where we performed. But that was it.

To be clear I'm not crying out for Martinez gung go style football (some real bad capitulation at Anfield doing that) but being competitive and carrying a threat intelligently.
