Being paired with Douc who has such a high work rate and mobility, it works great when Allan is fresh, but he’s on the wrong side of 30.

this is about the time last season when he started to struggle isn’t it?

Rice shown him up today sadly.

Big Mick kept Antonio mostly quiet?… we get a halfway decent performance in midfield maybe its not so one sided but Rice went through Allan like a turnstile

Davies and Richarlison in for Iwobi and Rondon next week for me. And I don’t even like Davies.

We still need a midfielder who can keep the ball ticking over, Allan looks absolutely lost at trying to keep possession. We’re sound away from home on the counter with him and Doucoure, but need someone who can switch the play and keep the ball moving at home. Rice was brilliant at it yesterday and wish we had a Rice/Kalvin Phillips type who can keep it moving.
Felt sorry for him and Doucoure at times as it’s so utterly painful trying to watch Iwobi and Rondon press tbf
