Because his club needs him and we pay his wages. He hasn’t looked fit for about 6 weeks and could’ve used this time to get up to speed. Why shouldn't he take the somewhat rare opportunity to play for his country?

He’s not looked fit since West Ham and literally goes down like he’s been shot every game.
Also, we’re two months into a long, congested season and he’s already picking up his second injury that will keep him out of a game.
He shouldn’t have gone on international duty. It was a joke of a decision by the player and the club for letting him go.

Maybe the fact they say 'may take him from the game' suggests he amy still play so it's not a major issue looking past their match
We really shouldn't need Allan to beat Fulham. Give him a rest and get it him back for the game after.

Davies and Sigurdsson in the middle!![]()

Nice to meet someone from our medical team.Throw in Gbamin, what’s the worse that can happen....
He’s played ‘because Davies and Delph are our other options’ yet we’ve still conceded 2+ goals every game when he is supposed to be providing cover. He’s been bang average to down right bad in the last 4 games, with the exception of about half an hour in the second half against United.Because he picked up an injury in that game and because our other options are Delph and Davies, he's played.
I can't recall any other time where he's gone down injured other than when Fernandes dived in on him the other day (a challenge Fernandes should have been sent off for).
I don't think he's been 'doubtful' for any match, though - other than Brighton which was straight after the injury.
He's not been called up in a while and because Fabinho got injured he's got the call, and gone to try and impress. He wants to play for his country. The club have no power to stop him or anybody else doing it.

You mustn’t watch Everton much if you think he doesn’t go down every game.
He’ll be straight out the next international break, hasn’t been fit for 6 weeks and has not been performing for his club. That’s the problem with a lot of our players - Everton second.
