He’s not looked fit since West Ham and literally goes down like he’s been shot every game.

Also, we’re two months into a long, congested season and he’s already picking up his second injury that will keep him out of a game.

He shouldn’t have gone on international duty. It was a joke of a decision by the player and the club for letting him go.

Because he picked up an injury in that game and because our other options are Delph and Davies, he's played.

I can't recall any other time where he's gone down injured other than when Fernandes dived in on him the other day (a challenge Fernandes should have been sent off for).

I don't think he's been 'doubtful' for any match, though - other than Brighton which was straight after the injury.

He's not been called up in a while and because Fabinho got injured he's got the call, and gone to try and impress. He wants to play for his country. The club have no power to stop him or anybody else doing it.

Because his club needs him and we pay his wages. He hasn’t looked fit for about 6 weeks and could’ve used this time to get up to speed.

You can't 'get up to speed' training.

It would have been good for him to rest. But he got called up. He played 90 mins at a pretty slow pace the other day (I watched the game) and now won't be playing this week. He has until Sunday to be fit for us. He'll be back in Liverpool on Wednesday.

Maybe the fact they say 'may take him from the game' suggests he amy still play so it's not a major issue looking past their match

It won't be, it might just be a little niggle and playing it safe (you know, so he can ensure he's fit for Everton - which is what people want).

Amazing that a bloke who's missed one game out of 12 in all comps due to injury is now being called a crock. Played 90 mins in every league match bar Brighton.

He’s played ‘because Davies and Delph are our other options’ yet we’ve still conceded 2+ goals every game when he is supposed to be providing cover. He’s been bang average to down right bad in the last 4 games, with the exception of about half an hour in the second half against United.

You mustn’t watch Everton much if you think he doesn’t go down every game.

He’ll be straight out the next international break, hasn’t been fit for 6 weeks and has not been performing for his club. That’s the problem with a lot of our players - Everton second.

I mean I do watch Everton. You've claimed he's a crock yet he's missed one game because of injury for us and not gone off injured in any match.

The next international break is in five months. He wasn't selected for the last two squads and got the call because Fabinho is injured. He's gone to represent his country, and has every right to do so. He played well the other night, too.

Yes, he's played because - even out of form and I agree he's not played well the last few games after a very good start, like most of the team - the options we have in reserve simply aren't good enough and have proven to be just that.

Allan injured and so it begins.

Tom Blue Shoes Davies
Schneider- sorry Delph
Gomez who is struggling to cover 500 yards in a match and pass the ball more than 5 feet

Everton really need some additional bodies in the middle and with the pile of fixtures ahead I am not filled with confidence when we get injuries - Sigs,Delp Gomez Davies, Iwobi had ample time to show some quality. They failed - miserably

We shouldn't need a full strength side to beat Fulham but Everton are not exactly in rip roaring form now

The mere fact that Carlo threw all the new signings into the XI Vs Spurs in the first game when they barely set foot inside FF says it all really about the 'rest' of the available players ability. They got the previous 4 or was it 5 managers sacked and he was having none of it
